A good infant car seat should be able to keep your child safe and comfortable. When I tested the Graco Snugride 30, I found it lacked the comfort portion.
Immediately after removing this car seat from the box, I noticed the flimsy padding. It has less padding than other Clicks Connect models and it seemed uncomfortable for my baby. Not only that, but it was difficult to install, even with the LATCH system.
I will say that it’s pretty lightweight and made carrying my baby around less painful, but it only works with children up to 30-pounds or 30-inches. When it came time to remove the car seat from the base, it wasn’t the easiest task.The release lever is very frustrating.
I do enjoy that the Graco Snugride 30 can be used with all Click Connect travel systems. So if you already have the stroller, you don’t have to buy a new one to work with the car seat. Unfortunately, you may need to purchase the adapter.
I do not recommend this car seat unless you’re in a rush to find something and this is one of your only options. It’s uncomfortable, difficult to adjust, latch, and remove. Even as one of the most affordable models, I don’t suggest investing in it.

Safety
While the Click Connect 30 exceeds all minimum safety requirements, it has not performed as well in crash tests as some of the other models. Side-impact testing has performed above many similar infant car seats but below other Graco models.
Function
The 30 has less padding than other Clicks Connect seats making it potentially less comfortable for your baby’s head and back. While it is lightweight and easy to carry, the latch system can be difficult to use due to the hooks. It requires a little extra tugging to tighten the straps on the base.
It will accommodate babies and toddlers up to thirty pounds as long as they don’t outgrow the thirty-inch height limit by then. The seat itself can be difficult to remove from the base using the release lever.
Graco Snug Ride Click Connect 30 is compatible with all Click Connect travel systems. So if you already have the stroller, you won’t have to worry about getting a new one that works with your car seat. The only thing that you might need is an adapter to the stroller.

Pricing
This is the most affordable of the Graco Snugride Click Connect seats available on the market. If you are on a budget and looking for a seat with no bells and whistles that will also move beyond the basic safety standards, then the Graco Snugride Click Connect 30 is the way to go!

The Graco Snugride 30LX is the same as the 30 with a couple of important upgrades. While these upgrades don’t affect or enhance the safety features of the seat, they improve convenience and functionality significantly.
What We Like

- Can be installed without the base
- Fits infants and toddlers 4-30lbs and up to 30”
- Compatible with all Click Connect strollers and travel systems
- Removable newborn insert for head and neck support
- Removable flip piece for 3-position adjustable base
What We Don’t Like
- Sometimes difficult to remove from the base
- LATCH system uses hooks and can be cumbersome
Safety
As with all other Graco seats, the 30LX exceeds the safety standards and has performed exceptionally in crash tests.
Function
The most notable feature of the 30LX is the flip piece that can be adjusted or removed to properly recline the seat during installation.
It provides three different positioning options at four-degree increments that ensure that your baby’s seat sits at the proper angle.
Additionally, the 30LX comes with a newborn insert that is larger than the 30 model for increased comfort.
