I really don’t like these single to double strollers, but I figured I would give this one a shot since I was asked to test it out.

So, I’m going to start off by saying that this stroller was pretty lightweight and easy to fold and unfold. It stored nicely in my vehicle and didn’t give me an issue. It has a 45-pound weight limit, which is kind of disappointing.

The big hype about this stroller is that it has 14 configurations when the second seat is installed. Unfortunately, you have to purchase the second seat attachment. For a stroller that’s almost $400 alone, it doesn’t seem worth it if you have to purchase additional accessories. I would purchase a double stroller to begin with.

The canopy somewhat protected my child. It doesn’t quite completely shade them, so that’s was a huge bummer. I did like how large the storage basket was and the reflective lining and trim on the stroller, but I can’t say that I was in love with it.

I don’t recommend this stroller. It’s pricey to begin with and then you have to buy all knds of accessories to accommodate your growing family. To me, it’s not worth it.

    Height & Weight Restrictions

The stroller is good for kids up to forty-five pounds. The unique thing about the Mockingbird is that each seat has a 45-pound weight limit. In two-seat strollers, there is usually a lower weight limit in one of the seats. Seat to canopy measures approximately twenty inches.

    Two Seats

The stroller can go from a single to a double in one minute. Parents just need to snap on the adapters and the second seat, and you are ready to go. You can purchase a Second Seat Kit that comes with the seat, adapters, and a sunshade.

The seat is highly customizable. It has fourteen arrangements for two kids and will accommodate a third child soon when Mockingbird introduces a new ride-along board.

    Full-Coverage Canopy

The canopy features UPF 50 fabric to protect your child. It has a full-coverage sunshade to keep them out of the sun.

There is a peekaboo window in the canopy, so you can always have eyes on your little one. It also has black & white high-contrast fabric on the inside to help your baby’s visual development.

Sturdy & Easy to Fold Frame

Folding a stroller can be a struggle, especially with a little one in your arms. The Mockingbird can be folded with one hand. And, when it’s folded, it automatically locks and stands upright. In addition, the handlebar rotates, so it’s comfortable for parents of all heights.

    Front-Locking Wheels

The wheels on the Mockingbird are a parent’s dream. They mimic air tires, so they ride smoothly without the potential of going flat. No more worries about your baby waking up when you hit a rough patch!

The stroller features a one-step foot break so that you can easily keep your stroller in place. Front-locking wheels mean that the stroller is ready for almost any terrain.

    Super Comfy Baby Carriage

The Mockingbird can accommodate babies of all sizes. Parents can purchase a carriage seat for the stroller for newborn babies.

The carriage features a foam pad and sunshade, so even your littlest one is comfy and covered. The carriage has the same color options as the stroller so that you can customize it to match.

    Wide Variety of Accessories

Parents can buy many accessories to add to their Mockingbird. You can add different covers to protect your child. Mockingbird offers a mosquito net or rain cover in their accessory line-up.

There is also a hand muff available for you and a footmuff for baby to keep you both warm.  There’s an infant seat insert available to add, making it even easier for babies of all sizes to ride.

    What We Like

    So Many Colors

The Mockingbird Single to Double Stroller gives you a lot of creative freedom. It comes in four different colors, including a limited-edition pink. You can also customize the frame color. The interior of the canopy gives you choices between two cute black and white prints.

    Large Storage Basket

The stroller has a basket on the bottom that is roomy. It can hold up to 25 pounds so that you can keep all your baby gear in one easy-to-access spot.

It also has a detachable front cover so you can protect your items or gain easy access. If you need additional storage there is a parent organizer available for purchase.

    Reflective Lining & Trim

With safety in mind, the Mockingbird has reflective fabric on the front of the basket and back of the seat. Fabric is strategically placed, so cars can see you at night. You can take your baby on a walk in the evening without worrying about being seen.

    All The Options

Whether it’s colors or seating configurations, the Mockingbird Single to Double Stroller is customizable. When it’s a single stroller, you have the option of five positions. When you switch to double, you have fourteen options. It’s a stroller made for your family and your personality.

    Convenient Modular System

Parents have the choice of forward-facing or parent-facing seating. You can quickly switch positions as your baby grows. This enables you to have your child positioned how you both feel most comfortable.

Parents feel safer knowing that when their baby is small, they can see them. Then, when you’re ready for your child to face the world, you can easily make the change. You can also switch from one to two seats and carriage to seat easily.

    What We Don’t Like

    It’s Heavy

Some parents say that the Mockingbird stroller is very heavy. Due to the heavyweight of the stroller, you really have to muscle it over curbs and bumps. You may need to push down hard on the handlebar to get over bumps. This can make it a bit harder to maneuver than other models.

    Canopy is Small

The other complaint some parents have about the Mockingbird is that the canopy is too small. Due to its size, it doesn’t do an adequate job of protecting against the sun. It could use a bit more extension to provide more coverage for baby’s face.

    Limited Accessories

The Mockingbird has a variety of accessories to purchase, but a couple of key products are missing that some of its competitors have. The company says a ride-along board is coming soon. However, there is no snack tray, which is a priority for many parents.

Mockingbird Single to Double Stroller vs. UPPAbaby Vista

The UPPAbaby Vista is a high-end stroller with many excellent features. It’s very similar to the Mockingbird with some extra bells and whistles. The UPPAbaby also has a higher price point, which varies based on color choice and options.

Both strollers have a front-wheel brake and an adjustable handlebar. They also both come in several colors, but the UPPAbaby gives buyers nine colors to choose from versus Mockingbird’s four.

One major bonus is the UPPAbaby canopy. It’s expandable, providing additional coverage for your baby. The other big win here is all the accessories available for the UPPAbaby. You can purchase a snack tray, travel bag, and ride-along board for an older child.

While the UPPAbaby Vista offers many great features and add-ons, our winner is the Mockingbird Single to Double. It is a wonderful stroller whose quality closely matches the UPPAbaby. Its price point is significantly lower than the UPPAbaby, making it a fabulous stroller at a much lower investment.

    Our Final Verdict

The Mockingbird Single to Double stroller is a fabulous pick for parents. If you have an expanding family or just want a great stroller that you can make your own, the Mockingbird can meet all your family’s needs.

It looks to make the transition from one child to two easy. And trust me- the transition from one baby to two is hard enough!

High quality, attractive, and good on any terrain, this stroller is perfect on the sidewalks or trails and anywhere in between.

It’s a great investment for large families and will last through all of your babies. Congrats, mama- you’re ready for baby number two- and with a fabulous stroller!
