I’m always a fan of convertible strollers, so when I was asked to review the Nuna Mixx 2, I was excited to do so.
Most strollers are made the same. You put your child in it and they are forward-facing. You can see them, but only if you walk around the stroller or look through the peek-a-boo canopy.
A feature the Nuna has that many others don’t have is that you can use it in two modes; forward or parent-facing. You can turn the seat around so that your child faces you rather than the road. This was something I’ve never seen before. Does it make it worth the price, though? No.
Other than the reversible seat, everything else was pretty standard. I was able to recline the seat almost completely flat, which made it easier for my child to nap while we were out for a stroll. It has a decent storage basket and the sun canopy did a great job of protecting them from the sun.
When it came time to fold it up, I found it to be a challenge. I don’t have a large trunk so when I folded this up with the sear parent-facing, it was big and bulky. It slimmed down a little in the other mode, but not by much.
I don’t think I can honestly recommend this stroller for a few reasons. Although I did enjoy the reversible seat, it just doesn’t justify the price. Additionally, there’s nothing else that makes it stand out from the rest.
First and foremost, the MIXX2 stroller is designed for infants and toddlers from birth to 50 pounds. The main seat is reversible, allowing kids to ride front- or rear-facing depending on what stage they’re in, it includes a 3- or 5-point harness, and has five different recline positions that can be adjusted quickly and easily with just one hand.
Parents will also be happy to see that one of the recline positions is practically flat so you can use the stroller can with even the smallest of babies. Purchasing an infant insert (sold separately) allows parents to utilize the MAXX2 from day one.
Nuna MIXX2 Stroller also includes an extra-large storage basket, perfect for hauling diaper bags, groceries, or blankets. An additional storage pocket on the back of the seat is the perfect spot to keep parent-essentials: snacks, wallet, and your phone.
Easy To Use
Parents also rave about how incredibly easy it is to use the MIXX2. It has excellent maneuverability, with a tight turning radius, and can be pushed around with just one hand. Additionally, the telescoping handle has three different heights making this stroller an ideal choice for parents short and tall.
The rear wheels on the MIXX2 are also a bit larger than the front wheels and are all foam-filled, helping to help you roll over all types of surfaces, including gravel, cracked sidewalks, and grass. When you’re ready to stop for a while, the single-action brake pedal allows you quickly and safely lock the back wheels in just one move.

As with any stroller, the Nuna MIXX2 does come with its own set of complaints. A lot of parents have a problem getting the 3- or 5-point harness to fit snugly and complain that they need to rethread the harness every time they have to change it. Definitely not a deal-breaker, but annoying nonetheless.
Additionally, the seat fabric isn’t removable or machine-washable, which can make cleanup a chore, and the footrest fabric on the MIXX2 is made of a different material than the rest of the stroller and tends to get really hot in the sunshine.
Main Complaints
- The harness doesn’t tighten properly and needs to be rethreaded.
- The fabric is not removable or machine-washable.
- The fabric on the footrest gets too hot.
